Ways I'm Giving Back
How I’m Giving
I created a donor-advised fund (DAF) with $5,000. Funds are invested for capital preservation in conservative bonds funds (50% in the U.S. Bond Index Pool and 50% in the Money Market Pool. Charities selected, donation amounts, and future contributions are based on my giving plan.
Why I’m Giving
By giving it allows me to participate in the change I want to see in the world.
I believe all Americans should have a safe, clean, and affordable place to live. A comprehensive housing solution that provides not just an option to rent affordably but also a path to ownership. There are two main factors that need to come together: housing at a price that is attainable and built at a quantity that makes it accessible.
Non-profit organizations are working with for-profits, corporations, citizens, and elected officials in cities small and large across the United States to implement solutions to this exact challenge. These are real solutions that at a large enough scale can have a meaningful impact on the cost of housing. Creative, cost effective, and sometimes even innovative. I want to be a part of this group and help pioneer a new affordability in America.
